They travel to the Cliff of Bellinger to defeat the HeartsoreWeaver Everyone there is super kind&arent so zealous about the Omens Benji has been acting weird like the power is getting to his head Rory tells Sybil he would leave the knighthood to travel w her when everything is over Sybil finds the gargoyle on a cliff admiring the sunrise&she throws her shroud to the wind The town has a ceremony forBenji that is tame

I love Rory&Sybil together it’s so true when he tells her “You don’t like me when I’m a good knight, & you don’t like me when I’m bad”

So she looked at her eyes & they are white like stone like the Omens She gets worried that Rory left the bed bc he changed his mind but became back&reassured her that she’s nothing like the Omens

Ik smth bad is gonna happen bc there’s less than 100 pages left

I am loving this Rachel Gillig is such a good writer!
I love the layers to all the characters

Sybil recovers&the knights arrive TheChimingWood hamlet has their ceremony forBenji They put charcoal on their eyes so they look like skulls&the sprite birches don’t eat their eyes TheNobles use theForrester’s stone chime onBenji The sprites wake causing chaos The gargoyle&Sybil snatch the chime Maude gets injured When she wakes they KNIGHT Sybil!! Sybil takes off her shroud for Rory 😲Jaw dropped

The fight is on a platform in the middle of the water basin so she can’t use the other omen objects Gargoyle brings her hammer&chisel She gets tossed around&her shroud slips which distracts theOarsman&she kills him He reveals theDiviners were sent 2 the omens 2 drink their spring water blood She falls off the platform&unconscious Wakes up@Maude’s house in ChimingWood She tellsRory her name so now I will say Sybil

Things r heating up whew They travel2theFeverentPeaks&lure theOarsman w springwater They take up the mantle w him his skill is fighting he says Six has2 figh tRory trains her for the fight&takes her2 hot springs aye

Benji says the 5 omens have stone eyes&immortal bc they drink the spring water Remember 1 took off her shroud&was horrified w her eyes? Maybe they turned to stone too bc they have been choking on the spring water
Rory is going to get Six fitted for armor 😛 so cool

The king sits wSix&tries 2 recruit her 2 kill theOmens Benji says his grandpa was king&killed bc he thought that there were 6 Omens theAbess being the6th The other5were actually mortals that the Abess fed the spring water to make them immortal&have the kingdom believe in her religion Rory was a foundling for the brigade Only way 2 kill them is 2 take their item2/5 are dead They will search for the others&herdiviners
