So far this is irritating. Show vs tell is an important distinction for writers, with show almost always winning the prize. This book sometimes shows, but then always also tells, and then tells again, and then maybe even tells again. It’s like taking a pretty straightforward story that would probably hit close to home for many, but then transcribing your yappiest friend’s retelling of it rather than writing it.
