“Every woman I admire is hated for something.”
Fuck, I love that as the ending line for the acknowledgements
Really liked this book. Fast and easy read, and very relevant. The internet/social media parts reminded me a loooooot of ‘nobody is talking about this’ by Patricia Lockwood. Even with the baby stuff too
Probs a 4.5 for me. At times it felt more like an essay/opinion piece than a novel

Keen to hear what book club thinks of the book, and also see how it’s being received generally by the public.
It’s a good critique of outrage culture. It’d be great if the internet and people moved past this kind of thing. With how the world is right now I have no idea if stuff like this is going to get better or worse with time.

The change at the end was unexpected and fun. Being vague here bc the rest of book club are still reading and also have goodreads
This book made me glad that I don’t have as many hang ups abt bad experiences in primary/high school. At least I don’t THINK I do lol. I feel like i processed a lot of it in my early 20s thankfully. Being inside these characters heads made me glad i don’t think like that now
