I will admit this chapter was kinda hard to understand bc of all the unfamiliar historical names. But I do understand all the main ideas and how hard it was to initially plan the Voyage. Should be a fun read

His god complex rose to newfound heights when he started to only focus on Christianity conversion in the tribal islands in the Phillipines, rather than continuing his journey to the spice islands. He was so damn close to the spice islands and finishing his goal. He eventually died when he attacked a tribe for not converting and thought they would win with ease but got destroyed and he died. Some think he was trying to boost up his resume to have King Charles not banish him in prison for his inhumane treatment of some mutineers on the ship. But it was obvious he thought he was a martyr
