very strong gatsby vibes. katey, tinker, and eve feel like jordan, gatsby, and daisy respectively. i love this so much more than i thought i would, which is saying a lot since i adore historical fiction from this era.
still can't get over the fact that this book and TLH are connected. they're actually at the camp in the adirondacks. a boy will fucking drown in that same lake 16 years later. that's insane.

i just knew the name wallace wolcott sounded familiar and i'll be damned this book and the lincoln highway are CONNECTED this is woolly's uncle. the odd mannerisms. reference to the camp at the adirondacks. THE WATCH. tlh is one of my favorite books of all time and it was published a whole DECADE later. finding these shared details feels like such a treat. i am so much more invested now.

lush. has a gatsby-esque feel. still settling into the world and characters. lovelovelove books where i can put my old jazz playlist on for background music.
