and finally Eva is free. it fills my heart that she began “fighting for herself”, being unafraid of hiding her ailments, letting go of Cursed and the idea of that love, and truly writing her roots down.
did i start to cry when Shane and her saw each other again? yeah. it felt like losing [redacted] all over again, knowing you have to let that person go to begin to live again. they will always be #misfits

no and lowkey should’ve known that this would be the case. he DOES care for his other kids, so much so that when he finally hit Ty back he found out he needed to leave to RI ASAP. didn’t have time to let Eva know, was on the next plane out.

very fond of the connection Audre and Shane have, building their own little weird relationship. i’m afraid that because he’s falling into a family dynamic he’s going to forget about his OTHER kids, ex. Ty. who needs the fuck out of him right now and i pray he doesn’t get shot in the situation he’s in. just because he’s stable doesn’t mean he gets to break promises to the kids he had before.

chapter 21 you did the thing! the long awaited reunion with no secrets and a shit ton of love. them both getting to love each other out loud, whole heartedly. FINALLY TELLING EACH OTHER I LOVE YOU AFTER 15 YEARS.
they so seamlessly blended into each other. can’t tell where one ends and the other begins FOCK!!!

i love love love that the story shifts to other people’s pov, not just the MCs. reading Lizette’s pov was infuriating, she truly believes she didn’t do a damn thing wrong. she barely acknowledges the jealousy that got Shane locked up and got her daughter sent away. she tries to resolve that ache by raising other little girls but that will never right the wrong, ugh it’s so effing good yall!!

oh fawk 🥲 talk about some romeo and juliet both of them could’ve god damn died. Eva had been ignoring phone calls for a week ig her mom had to do something but she would’ve never found out where Eva was if it wasn’t for Shane. her mom was prolly trying to “protect her” from Shane’s life but girl if she only KNEW.

that was so so good but now we’re getting into the reality: where did he go that morning after? after they made promises for life to one another and he vanished? she won’t let her guard all the way down until she KNOWS why he gave her 7 years of bad luck and deep rooted abandonment issues. i have to know his side of the story!
