OH MY GOD

objectively so many people would hate this book because kristian is the worst like he has so much hate and judgement in his heart but he thinks he doesn't and it's astounding...what a fantastic character study

without a doubt this is some of the craziest plotting i've read in a long time. it's so simple. but it's crazy. THIS MAN IS DERANGED.

"A photograph has no soul either, it’s just dead matter. The soul is in the moment the picture’s taken, but it doesn’t exist in the photograph. So in a way we might consider that the photograph is the moment’s dead body."
