For my friends considering this book...I do this sort of thing probably less than 1% of the time, but I'm warning you now.

I have been trying to get into this book for FAR too long... especially considering the length paired with the tight printing and font sizing of this physical book. At this page count, I just got kinda mad though and I need to explain why. (Next update...)

If you've read Umberto Eco's, The Name of the Rose, you understand authors often get very full of themselves & test their readers' dedication intentionally with dragging starts. This book? I thought. No. It's worse, I think. At this rough pg count, he's nearly ripping off Haruki Murakami's, The City and Its Uncertain Walls. The problem with this, & why it's not an homage? Lawrence isn't achieving stoicism...at all.
