For such a short book, this feels endless 😭

This isn’t really “horror,” this is just a really upsetting self-harm scene

So… are we supposed to like Ren (the main character)? I can’t figure out if we’re supposed to hate her or not. She’s insufferable and I can’t tell if that’s the point.

I so wanted to love this book bc one of my bosses highly recommended it (and we usually have very similar tastes) but I’m really bored. I like some parts of it but I don’t think I care enough to finish it. I’ve made it this far so part of me thinks I should just power through but I’ve lost all interest in the story and couldn’t care less about the characters.
