I guess Jack is redeeming himself here but I’m getting mighty tired of people doubting Mabel and especially calling her crazy to her face. And I’m so sad that she’s starting not to believe herself!

Jack and Mabel just need to talk to each other I fear. Also I’m really struggling to understand why Mabel wanted to move out here as a professor’s daughter. Was the difficulty of the frontier not as well-known? I never know how thoroughly information spread before the digital age. Anyway, they should talk to each other!

Mabel is so depressed and too stubborn to admit she was wrong or try to help herself. Really hoping she connects more with Esther otherwise this might become unbearable rather quickly…
