ugh seeing ilyas joy abt getting a dog is how i know im going to be when i move out and get a cat. i think about that constantly. ive thought about that for years. i need one so badly i could cry thinking about it

i love how this book gives the vibe that there will always be a happy ending. it’s nice to read feel-good books,but maybe this is a hot take - i just find it slightly unrealistic. spoiler warning - the guy in charge tells them not to make a big deal about coming out & is clearly against it, but somehow everyone’s supportive abt those who did come out ? i’m happy for them ov but it just seems too unrealistic idk

the way ilyas depression is written about with his well-being fluctuating is SO REAL and i just love this book sm. i’ve never read a book where a character has depression before and i think i might read more with it because it just feels so understanding and comforting in a way

the fact that the book starts with a warning about suicide and depression. oh girl my heart is not ready for the sadness.
