Finally it sort of gets interesting. It's odd, though, how the stakes are purportedly high, the horror is supposedly horroring, but it still all feels terribly innocuous and banal.

This is just uncomfortable and not in a fun way. The horror is not horrifying in the way the author means it, largely because the cast of the story is too busy in their own feels about their own stories to truly register what is happening around them. That, or they're very dumb.

Picking this back up while waiting on other holds.
Idc what Jessi's deal is, she's annoying and not a good friend. These people are all being very obviously (to the reader) possessed.
