So excited to book club this with Robby(: Although it pains me that I am FAR from lounging under the warm sun by the water with a book, I will settle for the lovely writing and the freshness of reading about a crush developing on someone. I am surprised that I am liking it just as much as the movie, which I think is spectacular in its own different way.

Although a bit overdone for my taste, the book jacket review blurb is quite accurate that it’s “An extraordinary examination of longing and the complicated ways in which we negotiate the experience of attraction…” I have also decided that this is totally relatable for all genders, although being a gay guy may help you understand the secrecy/fear of discovery element a little more.
