There was a part in this chapter where he explains more about people being machinery and he takes an opportunity to call Asians yellow robots that run on rice. Funny as it might’ve been in the mid 20th century I have to wonder about that comment.

He also makes a commentary on modern art being a way for rich to collaborate with rich to make the poor feel stupid which is hmm

Vonnegut drops a satirical but poignant definition of fascism here that I liked

Surprisingly captivating so far. I’m really enjoying the Kilgore trout stories. Not so sure how much I care for the Dwayne perspectives

The little bit about ‘wide open beavers’ in the second chapter made me want to put the book down.
But the little anecdote about the parrot and the three wishes and wanting to stay in the cage brought me back in.
