Sci-fi cult?

“The people here, they don’t talk to each other about anything outside of Wayward Pines… It’s one of the rules… They call it ‘live in the moment.’ No talk of politics.. of your life before.. no discussions of pop culture, movies, books, music, at least nothing that isn’t available here in town… All the currency is from the 50’s and 60’s… no calendars, no newspapers…”

2012 vs. 1985 - How?

I also find it a bit distracting that the author uses so many unnecessary anatomical terms (e.g. thoracic, phalanges, etc.). Like I’ve taken anatomy courses multiple times, but I don’t see the connection to why a secret agent would need to think in these terms. His character is not in the medical field??

UM WHAT?!

I’m not sure why there is no question of legal support becoming available - like shouldn’t this main character know they have a right to a lawyer if they’re a special agent???
