The story is progressing very nicely.

This is a beautiful retellings so far, I truly feel for both Marius & Faustine. 🥺

So far a straight forward gender swapped Beauty & the Beast retelling, with a gothic twist. My heart aches for both Marius & Faustine, they both need hugs.

Chapter one is a solid start, I especially liked the story of the peacock tapestry that inspired Marius to become a painter.
