These books keep reminding me that I'm not used to reading real adult fantasy that forces you to put things together on your own rather than spelling everything out. Big brain time 🧠. Jemisin was the first author to win 3 consecutive Hugo awards for this trilogy for a reason 😅

My face genuinely twisted into a look of disgust specific to having smelled something awful at getting a Schaffa POV chapter and I wish I could add a gif to accurately represent that. What a warped, deluded mind.
