ahhhhh i absolutely LIVE for the crumbs of roiben's backstory that we get in this book, especially that of his life in the bright court (though the prologue was indeed heartwrenching :< why nicnevin had a heart to toy with him as she had, i have no clue).
but yes, if i'm not wrong, i'm around the halfway mark by now! and yeah, super excited for the next bits to come :D

reading the answer to kaye's quest... i now find myself feeling quite dumb. perhaps just as comparable as to when i read about jude's exile in tfota.

yayy back to kaye and roiben now :D but nooo now i am dying to just spoil myself on how she manages to complete his quest ;-; is it a riddle?? or has there genuinely been some faerie that has managed to tell an untruth? either way, i am sat for this book :)) i definitely love the riddles element that is practically the hallmark of holly black's early fae-related books (still sad it's not as obvious in tfota).
