Okay, the initially disjointed structure has really hit it stride for me now. The fragmented narrative not only simulates the stories depiction of addiction, violence and postmodern ideas around the collapse of objectivity but also allows the story to range very widely with its characters and ideas. So far I’m loving its exploration of how someone can be violent and kind at once’s. It’s a humanistic portrayal.
