the plot has slowed down for the last 1/4th. the sister has relationship issues but won’t open up to the MC about them but also MC doesn’t feel comfortable with sister who sees her as a workaholic. how are they gonna reconcile?? i don’t think there’s enough time for them to have a satisfying arc!!

i find a lot of comfort in the rhythm and formula of an emily henry romance in a small town. this time we’re in the south (north carolina) but i like the meta elements of referencing the christmas rom com of city woman goes to small town to fall in love and become less uptight
