The start of page 338 is lovely. Alyosha is dismayed after the Elder’s death, and I love how Dostoevsky defends his passionate faith and how much better it is than if he were reasonable and loved too little.

“Today’s item in the newspaper Rumours was entitled “From S—“ (alas, that is the name of our town; I have been concealing it all this time.)” (573).
The town name is really spelled out but I won’t spoil it. This was hilarious! I love that the narrator felt he really couldn’t reveal the name and then pops it in randomly.
