The writing is very fun and immersive… it’s just a pity that so many names and places fall into a weird italian uncanny valley, where nothing is actually Italian despite the cover suggesting it’s set in an alternate Venice, and yet everything is reminiscent of italy. But not even of a Venetian Italy.
