Chapter 4 in “To Let” when Soames visits 100yo Timothy’s house is brilliant. So many good lines. How Soames wants to turn it into a museum so the young generation can see what a Victorian house looked like.

“…his old aunts, if they never opened their minds, their eyes, or very much their windows, at least had manners, and a standard, and reverence for past and future” (652).

So glad to be back with the Forsytes! 🥰 Love the time jump to 1920.
