at first I don’t loveee the book, but once I made sense of the formatting and how the chapters/character stories worked it became so much more enjoyable. The writing is SOO good and describes everything about humans so well. I felt so bad for pencola, the way everyone blamed her for the rape and then she went crazy after getting her blue eyes. I loved also seeing the way that generational trauma felt so inevitable

I’m a tad confused on how all the story lines and events/plots are related, but the prose is beautiful ofc 😪 the way that each characters emotions and experiences are described is so pretty and relatable but I’m having a hard time making sense of all of it as a whole
