I forgot just how agonising it is to see Bran and Jon so close to each other without quite meeting. How different things would have been... Alas.
I will forever defend this being one of the finest fantasy series of all time, even if it's never finished. There is nothing quite like it.

It's really so crazy that a 1000+ page book can be all killer no filler. And it gets better every time I read it.

I am starting my third read of book #3 - I am taking my time with this read-through because it's possible that I won't have to reread this series again before it gets a new entry, although I'm not hopeful.
Still - one of the finest fantasy books ever written right here, so I shall savour it anew each and every time.
