mostly men are mentioned when tb is related to being more creative
but women ALWAYS have to be objectified. its always about how they look
its so sad bc ive seen many people in modern day say exactly what a quote said ab wanting illness just to be skinnier..

BUT ive never thought about how many humans have LIVED since we first existed like 117 billion???? and we didnt even know germs were a thing until LAST century thats insane like its all so recent and its a testament to how much technological advancements and inventions have benefitted the human race

im so curious as to how tuberculosis has shaped our society as we know it today silently and i like how personalised its kinda written with the anecdotes being the reason that he looked into the facts and learnt more about tb and other countries.. stay curious!!

first non-fiction book im like choosing to read lol. it is very interesting and making me realise i should read more non-fiction - history at least cos i genuinely love history and so its quite easy to read idk what i expected
