Thinking of DNF'ing this one! Just meandering all over, uninteresting characters and plot. And Perry has been unappealing thus far, from defending the shoplifter to being elusive and mean to Paul. Not enjoying this one...

Started this book at Kugler Eye Clinic while Cindy's peepers were examined for possible lens replacement surgery. An interesting start to the book, with a bipolar Perry playing magnanimous host in the department store then turning impatient and imperious when Virginia Trent visits him re her light-fingered aunt. Gallant Perry should never have stood up for her as Auntie was way in the wrong.
