It's honestly very strange! I have read a lot of historical romance, but the plot here is so unusual and therefore unpredictable. I kind of love it for that? The writing is also unusual, I think especially in the descriptive writing. I find myself compelled. Is it a great book, I don't know, but it's definitely unique!
