i was really trying to wait until page 80 at least to DNF so that’d way i’d be 25% in for this 321 page book… i just couldn’t, i’m sorry TvT WHY ARE WE SHRUGGING ABOUT 9/11 AND MAKING OUT WITH A GUY YOU LITERALLY JUST MET THAT DAY— like bsfr, this is why i hated notting hill, cause they kissed on the first day they met TvT

i realized that this novel started out as vignettes (which i love those, i write them all the time) but i think “the light we lost” would’ve done better as a collection of vignettes or something like lang leav. i’m currently reading w.h. auden’s collected poems, and i think santopolo could’ve really done something with her artistry without it being a book…
