The efficiency in governing and care for Americans by FDR's administration is a universe away from the sociopathic fascist death-cult in charge now. It's quite a reminder of how government can use our tax dollars to work for us instead of the elite pedophile billionaires.

Two big reads finished today. This was a solid record of an amazing but fleeting time in American history and arts. Very dry and repetitive, but balanced and informative, and rife with the same philistinism in our politics that have ramped up beyond 11 in our present dismal time.

This is very dry, which is why I've nibbled at this for three months, but it is a solid history, and it makes me yearn for being there to see some of these electrifying plays, especially the Orson Welles ones.
