A book within a book is always fun. And this novel is such a slow burn. But if you abandon yourself to it it's a very interesting read I'll be at somewhat predictable

Precocious virgins who are unaware of the mystery and power of their heritage which upon discovering through traumatic circumstance usually results in the complete overthrowing of the status quo.

All the authors and fantasy seem to be doing the exact same thing. At least this time the FMC is not the primary princess and she's lost some fingers due to an encounter we don't know yet.

Still tho.. hoping for better
