This book suddenly turned heartbreaking with the sad backstory lines, the only thing keeping it light is caz (a plant) with his people skills that are better than the actual people.

I love how caz just says exactly what everybody’s thinking he’s actually hilarious and I think it’s really sweet how he talks about kiela.

I love Bryn I think she’s actually so sweet and funny I’m so excited for her and Kiela to be partners in jam. Also Larran definitely likes her and honourable mention to Caz who continues to be a hilarious commentator.

The description in this book is actually incredible, with every passage crafted just for the readers to feel that their connection to books is being recognised in a magical way, similar to how we feel it in our heads.

This section was so sweet. Larrans known her since they were kids. It’s kinda sad that she doesn’t remember him, he seemed so hurt like a little puppy dog following her around fixing her roof and making her food not realising how much he makes her blush, (even if she doesn’t admit it) just trying to make her happy.

I love how everyone on the island is like a family looking out for each other and I find it so funny that they all congregate in the bakery. It’s so sweet how they recognised her and called her her mother’s girl (they might be right about her being trouble though).

Everything about this book is adorable : the imagery, the magical creatures, the cover and quotes.
