I just finished the first section, and I'm hopeful I will make progress on the next sections throughout today and tomorrow.
The stories are ... average for the most part, though some stand out, such as the one by Joe Lansdale, Tim Lebbon, Richard Chizmar, and Alma Katsu, where the authors aren't just offering snippets from a world ravaged by the plague, but offering tales where life sometimes goes on

Only a few stories into this anthology, and while some of the entries show the particular author's style for storytelling, what's hard to balance is that this is not King himself writing; these are scenes from a disaster and not the main players in The Stand, and so their fates appear sealed and lean toward death. I'm hopeful that will change and variations will appear, but it will make for a grim read if not.
