I can see why this won the pulitzer prize, but I'm just not enjoying this. Even my professor is not sure about some of the events that occur. I don't like that in books. I might to come back to read this with a fully formed brain.

I'm not quite sure what is going on. I wish when he had done the flashbacks, he had been just consistent with changing the dates instead of trying to put it into the text.

I'm at an intersection where I can see why this won the pulitzer prize, but at the same time I'm not having fun. Momaday is doing that modernist literary thing where everyone is straight to the point. But clearly not enough because I have no clue what is going on. Maybe my braincells are rotted from Tiktok.
