we really get every stark pov reacting to ned’s death… arya trying to help him but being helpless, sansa watching her own pleading used to hurt her, bran and rickon dreaming of ned and hugging each other, jon (like arya…) trying to go for revenge, catelyn’s true grief for the man of her life… but we don’t get robb’s true thoughts. he IS ned’s firstborn, HIS child, HIS heir… and yet. the only one.

jon is exactly as annoying as he’s ever been, to the point where i want to skip his chapters bc he is just pissing me off

if there were half a braincell in renly’s beautiful head, he’d write to dorne, write to robb, unite highgarden, storms end and winterfell into one and march on kings landing from the south. tywin would be forced to open a flank one way or another. they kill the lannisters, renly or stannis become king, robb fucks off back north, deal done. but no. we do not do what makes SENSE… GOD, renly. you SPOKE to ned!!!

sansa and arya both daydreaming of murdering people <3 true sisters

when i say my stomach is turning in on itself… it’s like george thought “what is the cruelest thing joffrey could do to sansa” and then did that. in a way, really, the kid is not unlike bolton junior. same breed

bran and rickon both dreaming of ned being down in the crypt and you know it’s cause he died the day prior and it’s so fucking heartbreaking one just has to clench one’s teeth and get through it

the way you think this cannot possibly be happening, that someone would do something, speak out, save him, do ANYTHING, and it just doesn’t happen. nothing happens but that ned stark loses his head. like im still in shock. genuinely. what the fuck.

the way we have dany losing husband and child and khalasar and everything but her life and you think it cannot possibly get worse and then we get the chapter where arya watches ned be beheaded in front of her… everything is FINE!!! we are all FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this dany chapter is genuinely the worst thing in this book, it’s horrible
