Losing a bit of the way with this book at the minute, the main villain is now working in one of russias secret cities. This secret city has the job of mining off earth minerals, earlier in part 3 of the book it is commented upon that the rats around the place have been transformed(likely due to some chemical exposure). Now the main villain has had the same exposure and has been transformed.

This has really got me hooked, there have been some very good scenes. Have just finished part 1 and the ending page I have re read because it’s such a good couple of last lines. Excited to start the next bit. I am slightly confused by the main character(Kane) saying given what I know of my life expectancy? Is he dying.

The amount of people who have died in this book is getting unreal. I am more hooked into it. However, part of the usual plot of a spy/thriller book where an agent has been dropped into dangerous/hostile regions is that you are not sure if they are going to survive. There is a bit that states she would later tell me, E.G he’s still alive at the end, even though he’s just been captured.
