Why whenever people talk about this book do they always lump Catherine in with Heathcliffe and say they're both awful? She's bratty and pretty stupid but he's a full on psychopath. Not really comparable.

Made it through the first half in time for a screening tonight. My main takeaway is Cathy is really not that bad and Heathcliffe is the worst. Linton is eh. He should've taken Cathy to the city. She needed a social life and some hobbies.

I need Nelly to shut up. Catherine's life is a living hell so marrying Linton because he's attractive, pleasant and has money are perfectly fine reasons and indicative that Cathy IS thinking about the future. If she was only living in the present then she would pick Heathcliffe.
