Feel kind of bad that she got a subconscious childhood attraction to British men. What a wretched nation of people.

Honestly a really nice end to the collection. Feels like the Dear Life piece really sheds some light on the rest of the collection. I’m just not sure exactly where the line between the autobiographical fiction and autobiographical creative nonfiction lies.

I often have thoughts like this when I’m driving. It would just be so easy to run one of them over like in gta.

Alice Munro’s writing is kind of like life. Things happen and you either catch them or don’t. Then they pass you by.

She’s so good at writing mundane, melancholic drama. Also starting to think there may be some religious themes going over my head.

So Alice Munro’s strength is writing temporal things. Adults remembering things from childhood, people aging, etc.
