No surprises or twist here. You can spot these “twists” from miles away. Every family apparently has their own set of eye color, and it’s a very specific trait that flows for 500 years. And the author sure does like to mention eye color. So unfortunately it also makes you able to clearly see everything for what it is before it’s reveled

I hate it so much, but I’m invested and I want to finish it. I hate Rayvn’s character. There have been no surprises or twists, everything has been slow and drudging on and on. I will finish this book, but I am not loving it.

Still gathering my thoughts. Iv never read “yellow eyes” so many times in my life. Eye color is mentioned more than any kind of feeling or emotion held within them.
