This is my biggest gripe with these books. The authors are all like 'imma be casual about sex and make my characters casual about sex' so they age up the FMC to college age and have her fuck 1-2 guys before and be blase about it like the experience was mid. But then the MMC comes in and suddenly she's not fucking other guys and sex is no longer a casual thing and she's saving herself (same with him). It's stupid.

if I wanted to read a contemporary romance I would read a contemporary romance. why does this breed of fantasy authors insist in making fantasy realms like the modern world? why?

it was pretty decent (vibes and lore cool, gothic, fantasy that I could dig) but the swearing is just so off-putting. rips you right out of the fantasy world. but the fucking fantasy weed. please. /please/. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
