Other than A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara... This is one of the heaviest darkest reads I've read, especially as a parent with a little girl. Oofta I will need something light and wholesome after this one.

I agree this is a dark one, not for everyone, but I really liked it. And it stands out to me as the only book I've ever read that I actively rooted against a small child.

Definitely one of the darker reads that I have read. I completely agree with you! It actually terrifies me that there are kids like Violet that exist and I couldn't imagine birthing a child like her 😰
