With the current popularity of dystopian novels in the market, there was part of me that eye-rolled at the thought of another one. But Black Tiger has been delightful to read so far. I expected the usual "dystopian POV" of present-tense first-person to feel as dry as in other books, but Ms. Baysinger spins language well, eschewing snappy brevity for more lyrical vocabulary. I'm enjoying the word-pictures.
