okay i take it back, magpies is the most tragic chapter so far what the heck >:(

the rice husband story was so sad to me as are all of june's stories

i too would hate lying in bed all day without being able to move ...
okay the servent girl got pregnant and the family was convinced by lindo's story . and then the girl appreciated her new life and became religious thinking it was a miracle, lovely ending for a very sad story at the start .

okay but i was so worried for that poor little girl i thought she would never be found,, but her wish came true, phew

i've mostly just read the preface and the first few pages, but so far i'm liking this!

i got this as 'blind date with a book' !! excited to read it
