It should be ILLEGAL for this book to not have a character list. We’re in book end game and we’re still introducing characters.

I’ve had beef with this book from the first page. In the author’s notes VL feels the need to warn the reader that you have to pay attention to the story and you cannot skim over the story. In the same breath she also notes that she aimed for historical accuracy over all. Because I don’t like being told what to do I want to note the practical laser beam was invent in 1960 and this book is set in 1955.

Next time someone asks me to define information dump I just going to hand them this book because tell me why I still have 17 hours left of this audiobook and too much has happened. I’m not even at the halfway point. This could have been a 3 book series. Someone get Miss Lancet an editor please.
