george had a knack for killing off literally every single character i liked, it’s fascinating… he’s so shameless about it, too…

one thing you learn reading epic fantasy that is this well thought-through and written is that sentence structure and word choice is the last thing you should be worried about. the things that really matter are pacing, and saying the unsaid

the second bran chapter where he describes how much he loves climbing and how much it means to him and how it’s the greatest thing in the world and then jaime does what he does and you’re like right. this man needs to die immediately.
