The eugenics exposition in the first two chapters was some of the most eerie and messed up and creative stuff I’ve read in a dystopian.

What an interesting contrast is to someone like Winston from 1984. But nevertheless you have to feel so sorry for him. Maybe the was alcohol in his fetal blood stream
