Reading this passage in a 21st century novel would have been great; to read this in a 19th century novel has left me spell bound.

Im baking in the inescapable slow burn of Eliots genius. I did not think i would say this about a 900 page novel - but I'm sad ill soon finish this book and have to part with all the inhabitants of Middlemarch :(
