Grace encounters another space ship apparently with the same goal of reaching Tau Ceti and understand Astrophage. The other ship's occupant sends a cylindrical container made of Xenon as a means to communicate.

Grace initially interacts with the alien inhabitant of the ship he had just encountered by receiving a small canister tossed towards his way.

Chapter 6. Grace has arrived at Tau Ceti aboard a space ship fueled by Astrophage. Looks like he encounters an alien ship powered by Astrophage!

Chapter 5:
Grace discovers how to reproduce this microscopic alien called Astrophage. He is then catapulted into a space program to breed Astrophage which was recently discovered by the Chinese scientists that it could produce exponentially massive amounts of energy that could fuel interstellar travel. 😲
