I'm at a loss with this book so far. Love Ann Patchett's writing, especially her recent titles (Commonwealth, The Dutch House, Tom Lake). Plus, Bel Canto seems to be a highly rated book of hers. However, I feel like I've just been dropped into the middle of a story in progress. And I'm wondering why all of the male characters are in love or falling in love with opera singer Roxanne Cross?
