ugh I read the first book (liked it) and I wanted to start the next book too until someone told me that the series isn't completed yet ;w; kms

Bee is right. Shane and Holland’s story needs to be concluded. Now that I’ve finished this book, it does feel a little incomplete. It ends on a ‘happy for now’. 😊
